How difficult Pikey  Dudhkunda trek?

Pikey Dudhkunda trek start from 3200m altitude to highest elevation is 4069M from the sea level. Each day 5-7 hours walking, if you are already having some hiking experience then this trek is easy with wonderful experience. Even if you are doing the first time for the trek, 5-7 Hours trekking in a day is not challenging. Easily trails take you to the Peak for wonderful place day by day.

Pikey Dudhkunda Trek details:

This trek starts from the Kathmandu to Kathmandu. Normally we have 7days itinerary for the trek, but there are so many different routes depending as your holiday. This trek starts driving or flying to Dhap or Phaplu, trek start from Dhap village and everyday 5-7 hours walking. This trek end in Salleri or Phaplu, from ending point there are both possibilities fly and driving to Kathmandu.

Drive: if you okey drive to trek starting point, local jeeps are leave everyday early in the morning. Road distance about 245Km from Kathmandu to Dhap village take about 8-9 hours, depend on traffic. There are possible to hire own car or jeep for comfortable journey. If you hire own transport, then it takes to arrive Dhap about 7-8 Hours, choice is yours.
Flying: Flying to Phaplu is about 25 minutes from Kathmandu. Small aircraft will fly with people of 13-15 passengers. There are not schedule flight for the airport. So, if you want to fly even sometimes hard to get a ticket. We Ascend Hikes suggest better to drive via road access to get the starting point.

Details Itinerary of Pikey Dudhkunda Trek:

 

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu International airport and transfer to hotel

Our (Ascend Hikes) representative will pick you up from the international airport Kathmandu (1340 Meter) transfer to hotel and briefing you about the trek and still you have time to manage your things for the trek.

Day 02: Drive or Fly to Dhap (3200m).

Early in the morning, drive to Dhap village (3200 Meter). It is about 240km from Kathmandu, and it take 8-9 hours but depending on road condition and the traffic. Drive along the low land to high elevation, pass through huge river, gorges, small cities, small villages, forest, some wild animals and many more. A beautiful scenery and local things will always wake you up and enjoying. Finally, will you be in Dhap village, which is located in the top of the hill and if weather is clear, you will have nice views of top of the world and other mountains ranges. Stay overnight in Dhap in guest house.

Day 03: Trek to Jhapre village (2920M).

A day you’re first starting to trek. This day trek about 5-6 hours but up to your walking speed. Wake up early in the morning for nice views of the mt Everest and other Himalayan ranges. Pack your things and have a breakfast, with cup of tea or coffee, then after the breakfast start your trek towards Jhapre village. Smoothly going downhill pass-through small bushes, possible to see some musk deer, birds, small forest and will you arrive in Singane village, stop for the lunch, or if there is too early for the lunch then have a tea and continue trek to Jhapre. Be sure after this village to next destination about 2.5 hours and it is up hill trail. After this Singane village trails going uphill, through small forest and the bushes, much dusty also depending which month you are trekking, the route is all the way on off road, and rhododendron trees are blooming. When you are reaching Jhapre, there is small monastery but very nice and great to explore first monastery experience in your trail. Here are 4 small guest houses, almost the same rooms and foods but the capacity, clean ness, friendliness chooses one for your present stay.

Day 04: Trek to Pikey Base camp (3640 Meters)

This is the day a bit longer then yesterday so make your flexible time to have breakfast and after the breakfast start your trek straight away. It is about 7-8 hours trek to Base camp. First trail continues flowing the off road one a half hour inside of big pines forest. After 2.5 hours walking up hill, when your trail takes you Lamuje, you will say wow! Because this is the wonderful place, you are above the tree line and wonderful views of the mountains and valleys. Stop for the Lunch in Lamuje.

After lunch trails easy flat takes you huge Mani Wall (a Buddhist secret place) place continue of the views are nonstop. After the Mani wall your route turn uphill left for Pikey Base Camp. After and hours you will see the Basecamp with few guest houses. There are 3 guest houses in Base camp until this date, similarly all are the same, but because of the hygienic and better view, from the first 2 guest house there are another guest house about 15 minutes, so if you’re able to do that better to stay there. Warm heating dinning will be the perfect temperature for the dinner. From the window you will have a wonderful sunset view.

When you are reaching guest house, on pack tour things and if there is time better to hike toward Pikey Peak, it is good idea for Acclomatization, and you will be better sleep night. Have a dinner little early and go to bed, because next morning you have to wake up early in the morning for the sunrise view from the peak.

Day 05: Trek to Junbesi (2700 Meters) via Pikey Peak (4069 Meters).

This is the most highlight day and little challenging Day. It is about another 8-9 hours hike day. Take an early in the morning coffee or tea and your trek start to Pikey peak. You have to start in dark so you should need to have your head light for the day. About 1.5 hours you will reach top of Pikey 4069 Meter, where you can see long magic Himalayan ranges including Mt. Everest (The world highest mountain). One of the best sunrises viewpoints too. After this wonderful view downhill trails take to Jase vanjayan, where you can have your breakfast.

Keep in your mind after this place to until Taktor village about 2.5 hours you will not possibly have food and anything. From Jase Vanjyang your route climbs up with beautiful views of the valleys and mountains. 1.5 hours climbing there is nice viewpoint, enjoy your amazing time and slowly walk down to Taktor village. Here stop for the lunch with great views of the surrounding forest and the valleys.

After Lunch continue trek to Junbesi about 1hour walking flat land and pass several beautiful landscapes and small stupas and monastery. From these trails meet a famous first Everest summiteers Tenzing Norgey Sherpa and Admond Hillary used trek to Everest basecamp. All these trails take you to Sherpa village Junbesi (a beautiful Sherpa old village), where you have to stay overnight. After long day, take relax, next day is just short hiking day.

Day 06: Rest day to explore Sherpa village and Thuptencholing Monastery.

Wake up late morning and usually take breakfast and after the breakfast pack your day bag and hike to a Secret Buddies famous place Thuptencholing Monastery.  Thuptencholing Monastery was found in 1959 by Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche. This monastery is home for more than 900 monks and nunnery and must of them are Tibetan refugees. Visit a beautiful hidden Gem in the Himalaya of Sherpa culture and after that stop for the lunch. In this monastery running a guest house, where you will have vegetarian food.

After food hike continue back towards Junbesi observing an amazing valleys and the local people’s lifestyle.  When you will be back Junbesi, still you can explore the village and stay overnight in the same guest house.

Day 07: Trek to Phaplu (2423 Meters).

Usually, after the breakfast trek start towards Phaplu. This trails mostly on the off-road walking, sometimes passing local jeeps and make dusty, so prepare scarf to protect face and were wind sheeter

This destination directly about 5 hours but there is on the way a beautiful monastery called Chiwang Gompa (Chiwong Gompa was found Sange Tenpa Lama in 1923. Sangey Lama was born in 1856 in the village where you stayed Junbesi. In the eleventh-generation descendant of Sherwa Dungyal, who was migrated from Tibet to Khumbu valley in 1530). From the trail take about an hour to discover this wonderful Chiwang Gompa and continue to Phaplu, where small airport situated. Still, you have time to explore the small city Salleri and Phaplu, those village is the biggest and headquarter of the solukhumbu district. Stay in Phaplu overnight for the day in guest house. This is the last day of your trek in Pikey Peak. From here your porter will not joining you to continue to Kathmandu, so have a wonderful evening with all staff and drink and eat together, share beautiful moments each other and say bye – bye to your porter until next time. After the dinner go to the bed early cause next day you have to wake up early morning to drive back Kathmandu.

Day 08: drive or fly to Kathmandu.

Wake up early in the morning, there is no breakfast because it is too early for the breakfast and take a jeep to driving back to Kathmandu. From Phaplu to Dhap driving is about an hour and continue as like before. It means about an hour more than your last drive. On the way you will have simple breakfast and lunch is Dal -Bhat. When you will reach hotel, you have free time and at the evening from Ascend Hikes will offer farewell dinner.

Day 09: Final departure.

This is the day your holiday is over for time, we (Ascend Hikes representative) will drop you from hotel to Kathmandu international airport to say bye this time, hoping to see you again another adventure in Nepal Himalayas.

During this trek, we will stay in small basic guest houses. Pikey Dudhkunda trails are newly open route so, all the tea houses are basic basis. They serve double room with 2 beds in a room available each and every stops. In Phaplu you will have a better room are available.

What kind of Foods available in Pikey?

Kathmandu is more international capital city of Nepal. In Kathmandu you will have international Menus each and every restaurant. There are many restaurants around the city. In Pikey Dudhkunda trek there are only basic food available. Each and every village have local community, and they make a menu, and every guest house have menu with basic food services. Mainly they serve Dal-Bhat (Nepali traditional food), Fried rice, Noodle, Pizza, local breads, Organic Potatoes item, Local Yak cheese and seasonal fruits etc… Are available during the trek.

What you have to pack for the trek?

On this trek you need pack your daily used things accept clothing and above mention, sun cream, your daily needed mediations, warm clothing for weather conditions. You should pack your baggage each person maximum 11 kg for the porter, and you need your day bag for during the trip you need daily using things with you.

Facilities, water/ communication/exchange currency:

In this trek our company will provide water purification tablets. We suggest you, to use safe drinking water, or you can buy water bottles all the tea houses on the trails. If you buy water, it means a small business for the shops for locals. For the daily communication we are providing local SIM card if you needed.

If you needed to exchange your currency in Nepalese Rupees, we help you that case. During the Trek you should take Nepalese Rupees for your expenses. There are accept all major currency but less equivalence in the mountain.

What is weather condition in Pikey Dudhkunda Trek?

Each and every time weather are challenging. Every month weather changing, here are every month’s weather report describing.

January:

This month weather is normally blue sky and clear weather but already started a bit colder. Temperature down at night around -13 degree centigrade. During the day an average 4-10 degree in high elevation. If you are able to adjust with this temperature then the clear sky, amazing views are the best in Pikey trek.

February:

This month already start warm temperature. Slowly trekking everywhere open from this month. Temperature will be 6 – 15 degrees during the daytime and at the night around -5 to -9 degree in high elevation. Normally this month also clear and blue sky. This month usually snowing time, if you trek, should be snow there and prefer for that.

March:

March is the best time to trek. Temperature can be around 10 to 20 degrees in the daytime and at the night still 0 to – temperature which is already suitable for the trekking. Slowly rhododendron start blooming in low elevation. Birds and animals are most of the time grazing on the way. Although in the mountain never weathers stable, before you go to there at least check weather forecast.

April:

This is the best time to trek in this route. Best because the temperature is 10 to 25 degrees during the daytime, blossom flowers blooming around the trails. Birds are singing, all the locals working in their farm. It is harvesting time. Blue sky and new shoots are growing to make greenery of the trails.

May:

Also, the best time to trek Pikey Peak this Month. All the forest are white and red rhododendron are blossomy blooming. Warm temperatures are waiting for you. Green vegetation, White Mountains views, different types of birds singing and many more encouraging your trek happy and pleasant in this month. End of the month start slight rain, please check the weather forecast before you start your trek.

June:

still, you can do trek in this month, but sometime rain and lich are many in these trails in low elevation. If you are lucky on weather then it is an ideal trek for you, because this time totally different on weather and all environments. Temperature will be 15 to 30 degrees in high elevation. Greenery route, blooming wildflower are best things to explore Pikey trek in June. Check weather before you go there in this month.

July:

You are able to so trek in this month, but normally this month is the heaviest raining. Sometimes it is totally different, check the weather and make a plan. Usually, we Ascend Hikes are not offering trek in this month, but if you want to explore different experience then off course. Tea houses are open all the time. Path are sleeper and muddy. Lich is the problem if it is rain. If you doing trek in this month prepared well equipment against rain.

August:

This month still raining often. Sometimes it will be blue sky and good weather. The trekking trails still wet and muddy because cows and other household and wild animals make muddy path. Greenery jungle and farm are the best for the trek. Before you trekking this time please check the proper weather forecast.

September:

This is the starting a clear weather and becoming sunny. Pikey trek in September is the best time. Greenery environment, field, widow, grassland all and everywhere green. Green and White Mountain are the main combination to make extra enjoyable your trek in Nepal. The temperature is about 10 to 20 degrees in daytime. At the night temperature drop -1 to -5 degree. Generally stable weather with clear skies offering wonderful views of panoramic Himalayan peaks. This time is the best time for trekking in this route because of pleasant temperature and clear weather.

October:

October is another best month for the trek in Pikey route. A wonderful weather, clear skies, and greenery everywhere, so this is the best time to make plane for trek to Pikey. In October, temperatures in the Pikey region typically range from 9°C to 15° during the day. At higher elevations, especially Pikey Peak summit (4,069 meters), temperatures can be cooler, particularly during mornings and evenings. The Pikey Peak Trek in October assurances a worthwhile experience with its enjoyable weather, clear views, and exciting landscapes.

November:

Still this month is ideal time for Pikey Peak trek. Generally clear skies, wonderful views of the mountains make amazing trekking experience in this month. Many festivals of local celebrating in this month so it is an extra warm welcoming to this route in the month of November. Temperature around 9 to 17 degrees during the daytime and at the night drop minus. Early in the morning and at the evening time cooler than daytime in high altitude. In November provide pleasant weather condition with comfortable temperature, makes you enjoyable and memorable experience trekking in Pikey route.

December:

This month offers an exclusive and peaceful trekking experience in Pikey route trekking, despite the chilly cold temperatures. This region generally clear blue skies, offering spectacular views of long mountains ranges. However, the chilly cold can make navigation challenging. Proper preparation and equipment are necessary for a safe and enjoyable journey, specifically during snow-covered trails. The challenges, winter environment offers a exclusive and worthwhile experience in December.

 What is the Flight condition in Phaplu airport?

Phaplu is another small airport in Solukhumbu district. Phaplu is located in lower part of the solukhumbu district, and close to Salleri (district headquarter of Solukhumbu). This place elevation is 2430M from the sea lavel and most of the time windy. Because of the wind and big mountains valley landing to Phaplu is more challenging. Although, in a week small Nepal airline aircraft have schedule for the airport. There are other company have only chartered fly. Comparing to Lukla airport, Phaplu is heckeasier landing and the weather in the morning is better but because of less passenger, the flight schedule is not often. Comparing to the Everest Base – Camp trek, Pikey Peak trek is cheap. There are possible to drive by jeep to trek starting place and the ending point. Details Itinerary for Pikey Dudhkunda Trek:

Day 07: trek from Junbesi to Ringmu (2855 Meter).

After the breakfast trekking start slowly, passing Junbesi village and when crossing the Junbeshi khola, trails take you uphill until Simi Danda, this is the small village from here you will have to chance to see Mt. Everest again and stop for the teak break or continue trek towards Salung village.

From here the trails easy, crossing the landscape, small villages, bushes, some nice stupas. When you reach Salung village again the trail goes down to the Rinmo khola (river) where newly made hydropower and crossing small suspension bridge, trails take you up to the Ringmo village.

It is long village from starting to ending. There are numerous of guest houses, choose your comfortable one. After the lunch walk around the village to explore local activities and stay overnight in Ringmo village. Today is about 6 hours walking.

Day 08: Trek to Kamu Danda (3880 Meter).

As usual start your trek after the breakfast. Today it’s about 5-6 hours trek estimate time. After Ringmo village there are not any possibility to have food and water until Kamu Danda, so check that you have enough water and some chocolate bar with you for 5-6 hours. It is all the way inside of the den forest of pine and rhododendron.

All the way climbing up hill to Kamu danda. Where are nice view of the Mt Everest and many other mountains ranges. Nice to stay here for the night, morning time will be great view of the sunrise and aclomatization. Here are only 2 guest houses, both are the same, choose first one where bed and food is better than next one. Stay overnight in kamu danda.

Day 09: Trek to Saharsa Beni (4030 Meter).

Beautiful morning view will wake you up. Have a good breakfast and after the breakfast continue trek to Saharsa beni, it is about 5 hours trek. Remember, there are not any tea houses between Saharsa Beni from Kamu Danda. Uphill to downhill, and flat to crossing wonderful trails, small rivers, mountains, small bushes, valley to valley bring to you Saharsa Beni, have a lunch here, after lunch hike some more altitude than the guesthouse.

It is already high elevation, don’t drink alcohol, here is more chance to have altitude sickness. Beware about altitude sickness. Drink hot and water often. Eat plenty and more soup. Sleep in time because next morning you have to wake up early for hike to Holly Lake.

Day 10: Hike to Dudhkunda Lake and Trek back Kamu Danda.

Wake up early in the morning, have a cup of tea or coffee and start to hike to holey Lake Dudhkunda. It has to climb up about 2.5 hours to reach Lake. It is wonderful Lake believe a dip into the holy water to clean sins and fulfills wishes. Janaipurnima (July –August) celebrate a big ceremony and thousands of pilgrims visit this place from Nepal and Indian.

After exploring Lake, hike back to the guest house, and have a lunch there. After lunch start your trek back same way down to the Kamu Danda. Stay overnight in Kamu danda.

Day 11: Trek to Phaplu (2423 Meter).

This is the last day of your trek for the Pikey – Dudhkunda trail. As usual after the morning beautiful view, take a breakfast and start your trek down same way back to Ringmo village.

From the Ringmo village, trails go through off roadway to phaplu. On the way there are a beautiful monastery known Chiwong Gompa, visit that Gompa and continue to Phaplu and stay overnight in Phaplu. It’s about 7-8 hours walking from Kamu Danda to Phaplu. From Phaplu flow the above itinerary.

Is it possible continue trek to Khaling cultural trail?

If you have another 4days extra time, then don’t miss the opportunities to discover Khaling culture in lower part of the solukhumbu valley.

Khaling cultural trails:

In this trail not only explore Khaling community also the natural resources, beautiful landscapes, lifestyle of the different cultures and huge harmony of the different cast people in the small valley with rich diversity of the areas.

In Nepal there are more than 100 different cast in Nepal, and Khaling is one of them. Khaling is an ethnic group of Nepal, mainly they are belonging to the Rai community, which is the many Kirati national groups in Nepal. Khaling they have their own different culture, traditions and languages.

The Khaling community, primarily found in Solukhumbu especially in Rapcha villageis the main origineted, Nepal, they are flowed Kirant Mundhum and They celebrate the Ubhauli-Udhauli festival. Traditionally their occupation is agriculture and serve in Gorkha and Indian regiment.

Details Itinerary for Pikey Dudhkunda – Khaling Cultural Trek:

The day 01 to until day 10 itinerary is the same as above.

Day 11: Trek to Nunthala (2330 Meter).

As usual, from the wonderful views from the Kamu Danda, and have a breakfast, after the breakfast trek down continue to Taksindo (Taksindo is the beautiful village in the top of the hill.). Stop for the lunch, and after lunch visit a nice, wonderful monastery. And trek still going down towards Nunthala village.

From the Taksindo, the trails are the same trail to go Everest Base Camp. Flow the same old trails continue to Nunthala village, with passing beautiful village, forest, local terrace, local activities, suspense bridges, small steams and many more wonderful experiences on this day. It is about 7 hours walking stimat from Kamu Danda to Nunthala. Stay overnight in Nunthala a nice, beautiful village.

Day 12: Trek to Basa (where the Khaling originated) and (2100 Meter).

Another day of trekking to Khaling cultural trail. Wake up and have a breakfast as usual, after the food turn trails to the right shouth of the Dudhkoshi River. From this village, no more flowing the old trail to Everest route.

Passing a local village with beautiful lifestyle, small clift, river, waterfall and finally arrive at Adheri and Thulo dhunga village. Those village is the Magar and Rai (khaling) cast majority in the area. Have a lunch in Adheri village, where small guest houses are running. You will have simple local food in this area. Here is not any Menu card, you have to eat what they make.

After lunch trek continue to Khali Danda or stop at Ket village. Both are the Khaling village with simple guest houses. Stay overnight.

Day 13: Explore the Khaling culture and other lifestyle.

The day for explore the Khaling culture and local activities. Early in the morning, take your breakfast and start your day to discover the village to village. Remember there are not often you get food, those are local areas so only local food avilabe, even at the local food time.

Normally local eat Dal-Bhat twice a day, around 9-11 o’clock in the morning and after that they go to the work in the field and the farm. That why better to pack your food for the day, if you are unable to get food in the village, then it is the bad experience. There are numerous of the Khaling cultural activities in the areas, if you are lucky enough, they are celebrating the fest. Normally July-august they celebrate.

Visit beautiful local schools for interaction. Share your thoughts and feelings to the student and with the teacher. If you visit some locals, they will be shy, but they are very kind and offering drink Chyang (made by millet, a bit alcohol). Not use to visit tourist this area, only sometimes they saw tourist, so they are shy. Test some local product for the experience.

A day is not enough to do all the local activities, even try to do all major things. After your wonderful local experience back your guest house, and go to bed soon, next day you will have another adventure day left.

Day 14: Trek over Ratnange Danda to Phaplu.

It is a long and adventure last day of your route to trek this time. It is about 8-9 hours walking to the Phaplu via Ratnange Danda. Wake up early in the morning, take your breakfast and as soon as possible start your trek.

Remember, after this place you will nothing get on the way until Phaplu, so prepare all the things, like water, energy drink, some food until to Phaplu for survive.

It is another amazing day to explore the big forest with numbers of the vegetation and wild animals like musk deer, jungle foal, Himalayan thar, black bear etc. about 5 hours walking through big forest, you will reach high elevation about 3200meters, where you will have great views of the mountains and valleys. Depending on your holiday time, if you are in the springtime then it will be blossoming rhododendron and other wildflower blooming all over the jungle.

Discovering those unforgettable experience, trails take you to the Ratnange Danda, then trails go easy down to the Phaplu. Stay in Phaplu for the night. It is the last night in the Himalaya until your next trip to the Himalayas. After this place flow the dame Itinerary of Pikey Peak Trek.

Day 14: Drive to Surkey village (2740 Meter).

Wake up in the morning and after the breakfast pack your things and take a jeep to Surkey village. Those roads are dusty, so pack your bags with covering with plastic bag. Depends on driver, normally its take 6 hours to get in Surkey, but sometimes more… make a plan for a day in this drive trip. Stay in surkey village.

Day 15: Trek to Phakding (2655 meter).

After the breakfast start your trek towards world highest peak. Slowly trails take you up hill to Chauri Kharka, a nice village. After this village the trails join from Lukla and you will meet thousands of tourists together every moment and every time. Stop for the lunch in Tarakoshi with the view of Kusum Kangaru Mountain in the front.

After the lunch trek continue to Phakdin, a beautiful stupa, passing a river, village to village, talking with different tourist, in about 6-7 hours walking from surkey will take you in Phakding village. Here many guest houses with cheap to expensive, choose as your favorite one stay overnight in Phakding.

Day 16: Trek to Namche Bazar (3440 Meter).

Normaly 5-6 hours to get in Namche Bazar, (a famouse village among the trekkers). Passing Dudhkoshi River several time with beautiful waterfall, small tea shops, and wonderful views of the valley and mountain are the main attraction for the day.

From the place called Manju, you are entering to the Sagarmatha national park. Sagarmatha national park is famous national park and listed in the world heritage sites in 1979. Reach for the flora and fauna. To get in you have to take a ticket, cost Rs. 3000/- rupees per person for the foreigners.

Trails is smooth little up and down will bring you to the Hillary Bridge and from this place straight a way up to Namche. Most of the height you will gain here. Little difficult but when you walk slowly it is an easy to reach Namche and stay overnight here.

Day 17: Explore Namche and Everest view – Khumjung Village (3800 Meter).

Wake up with stunning views of the Kongde peak, Thamserku and Kusum Khang Mountain are surrounding you. Have a breakfast and hike to Everest view Hotel or Khumjung village. We ascend hikes suggest to you hike to Panorama viewpoint, from there you will have a great view of the surrounding mountains including world highest peak Mt Everest. A beautiful Amadablam mountain is welcoming you in the front. When you are enough to take pictures from the viewpoint get down and have a coffee with exploring the Sagarmatha recycling place.

When you will back down, hike another Museum in top of the Namche. There is so much different knowledge will you get. There are so many activities are explained in detail, so it is worth to visit there. After this all, visit local market area, every Saturday in the morning there are local market, where people will bring local organic things. If you are lucky you will have to chance to test locals. After this back to hotel and stay overnight in Namche.

Day 18: Trek to Pangboche (3985 meters).

As usual trek star after the breakfast. Today about 7-8 hours walking to the Pangboche village. Today you will gain about 560m altitude, but there are no risk for you because you are already 4700 m Dudhkunda Lake. A beautiful path, rhododendron bushes, panoramic views of the mountains, small villages, stupas, mani walls, monastery this all are the main attraction for the day.

Easy start till Lunch place called Phungi Tanga, stop for the lunch and after lunch trail slowly goes up hill to the Tengboche monastery. A beautiful and famous monastery of the route. You will chance to go in there for Buddhism monastery. After the monastery trails little flat walking until the bridge point inside of the rhododendron forest. From this place your trek start climb up hill to the Pangbohe village, after long walking stay at hotel and have rest. Stay overnight here.

Day 19: Trek to Dingboche (4410 Meters).

Today walking hours about 5-6 to reach Dingboche from Panboche. A wonderful view of the Amadablam mountain just near, back side mountain, kantenga, Thamserku, Kusum Khang, Kongde peak and front Lotse, Everest, most famous Island Peak and many more are the day highlight.

Start your trek after the breakfast. Today is the easy day. Trails is slowly flat for the day. Enjoying the views of the mountains take you to easily to Dingboche village. Here are many guest houses, choose one for your favorite and stay overnight here.

Day 20: Trek to Laboche (4940 meters).

Today about 6-7 hours have to walk. Gaining about 600m altitude not easy in the high elevation. Walk slowly towards Laboche peak. Great views of Laboche peak, Cholatche and Tawache peak are the main views all the time for the day. Also, the beautiful view of the Pheriche village and down valley.

Start your trek after the breakfast for the day. Beginning the trail is easy crossing small hill and flat. Walking about 3-4 hours will you be Thukla, stop for the lunch in this place because from here the trail hardly goes up to the laboche village. From Thukla to thukla pass is the most difficulty for the day. In Thukla pass you can see the many cemeteries of the climbers who had died in the expedition’s time. Most of the altitude you will gain here. Never give up, only an hour.

After this place, easy to rich to the Laboche find a hotel, your hiking is finished for the day and stay overnight here.

Day 21: Trek to Gorakshep – Basecamp – Gorapshep (5264 meters) (5364 meters).

A day start after breakfast as usual. About 5-6 hours walking time for the day. A beautiful day start with Wonderful Khumbu valley start this day. Labuche peak, Pumori, Nupse, world famous dream destination the Everest Base camp and many more are the day highlight.

Start a day after breakfast, slowly flat trails and after about 3 hours will reach you in Gorekshep, it is the last guest house of this trek and have lunch here, after the lunch hike to the Everest basecamp 5360meter one of the most famouse and dreams destinations in the world. After discovering world highest mountains basecamp trek back to the Gorakshep.  Stay overnight in the Gorakshep.

Day 22: Hike to Kalapathar-Gorakshep – Pheriche (4372 meters).

A day starts with wonderful morning. Wake up early in the morning for the hike up to another wonderful sunrise view from the Kalapathar (5550 meters), and the amazing views of the Mahalangur Himalayan range. Walking about 7 hours altogether for the day.

Start your trek early in the morning, with head lamp to the Kalapatthar for beautiful panoramic views and sunrise views. After beautiful mountain views walk down to the Gorakshep, have a breakfast and start your trek continue to the Pheriche village and stay overnight in Pheriche village.

Day 23: Trek Back to Namche (3440 meter).

A day start after the breakfast, continue to Namche village. It’s about 7 hours walking down. The views are amazing when you back same ways down as well to Namche.

Day 24: Trek back to Lukla from Namche.

Trek starts from Namche to Lukla about 7-8 hours. You know all the way it is the same way back down to the Lukla, stay in Lukla for the night and explore the most dangerous airport in the world.

Day 25:  Fly to back to Kathmandu:

This is the experience to fly to Kathmandu from Lukla. It is a dangerous airport in the world. Small aircraft will bring you to Kathmandu early in the morning. Short fly about 30 minutes fly from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer you to hotel in Kathmandu and you will have more time to experience in Kathmandu and the city.

Day 26: Final departure:

This is the day your holiday is over for time, we (Ascend Hikes representative) will drop you from hotel to Kathmandu international airport to say bye this time, hoping to see you again another adventure in Nepal Himalayas.
