It was worth it and perfect ! I had an amazing experience with everything. Everything was organized so well, and the entire journey felt smooth and stress-free. Kathmandu To Dharaphani Transfer
The team at Ascend Hikes was fantastic! They greeted us promptly at the airport and were extremely hospitable and friendly throughout our journey. Our driver took us from Kathmandu to Dharapani. While the trip was planned for a single day, we had to stop overnight in Jagat due to road conditions. Despite this, our driver’s deep knowledge of the region, excellent driving skills, and unwavering focus on our safety made the journey smooth and enjoyable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, very well priced, and I would highly recommend Ascend Hikes for anyone planning travel in Nepal.

One of the best experiences of my life
Niru is the best. Not only a very experienced guide but also a wonderful travel companion. We had so much fun on our 5 day hike to Annapurna. His experience showed especially when we had to replan our route because of changing weather conditions. We safely avoided a snowstorm and hiking conditions that we were not prepared for because of Niru’s planning ahead and constant exchange with locals and other guides. No doubt, we felt safe and in good hands throughout our trip. We learned a lot about Nepali culture and language and also made a friend for life along the way.

A wonderful journey in the Manaslu region
From the very first second we enjoyed getting to know the country of Nepal and its culture assisted by our wonderful guide Niru Magar. We decided to go hiking in the Manaslu area and it could not have been more impressive. The beautiful landscape, the kind people and all the great conversations with Niru made it pretty much the perfect trip for us. My brother and I went to the Manaslu Circuit with Niru in October 2019. He was recommended as a guide by friends and we couldn’t have had a better guide!He organized the jeep to the circuit from Kathmandu. He knew a lot of tea houses so he could recommend the best ones. Also, Niru has a lot of knowledge about the nature, trekking and Nepalese culture. It was very easy to chat with him (good English skills and even some German), but we could also have time to ourselves, it was very well balanced.He is very experienced so we always felt safe with him and on difficult parts he gave us good advice and a helpful hand.It’s been six years since we’ve trekked with him, but we’re still in touch and friends. So happy to hear he has build his business now - we can absolutely recommend him as a guide!Plus he is just a really good person who cares for his family and village.
